September 11th, 2001 was an historic and tragic event in the history of the United States, the State of New Jersey, and Rutgers University.
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and a leading research university, has contributed significantly to understanding this tragedy through research on the social, political, psychological, medical and environmental effects of 9/11. Exhibitions and conferences hosted by Rutgers University have explored the emotional impact of 9/11 through art and narrative.
This site brings together the scholarship produced at Rutgers that relates to the events of September 11, 2001, and to the effects that day have had on our teaching, learning, and living. It collects and facilitates access to Rutgers Scholarship, reflects on the legacies of 9/11, and documents the creative growth that can emerge from tragedy.
